The Italian Dolomites are arguably the most spectacular and photogenic mountains in the world. The light coloured jagged limestone peaks absorb the warm light at either end of the day and take on a golden glow which has to be seen to be believed. Divided by lush green valleys, often dotted with picturesque churches, this place is any photographer’s dream.

We offer the unique opportunity to stay in remote refuges high up among the peaks. This not only gets us well and truly off-the-beaten-track but puts us in the perfect locations for the optimum dawn and dusk light - ensuring that you capture these truly epic mountains in truly epic light. Such locations are only accessible by foot, but we use chair lifts and cable cars where possible to reduce the vertical hiking to a minimum. This trip is however only suitable for those of good fitness and a sound head for heights.

Combine the copious amounts of exercise with fresh mountain air and an abundance of good Italian food, and you will soon realise that our Dolomites trips are not only good for your soul but the perfect base to practice and improve your photography. We’re now in our third year of organising photographic holidays to this region. Here’s what our previous customers have said about their experiences….
